Team “Lady X” – Piergiorgio Ravaioni, his daughter Guilia and crew. |
| | The X-43 “Carica”, owned by Stefano Rossi, and X-50 “Lady X”, owned by X-Yachts importer Piergiorgio Ravaioni, came respectively 2nd and 3rd in the Italian IMS Championship in the cruiser-racer division Class A. All the best and most competitive yachts of the Italian fleet took part in this event.
Strong encouragement was given by splitting the fleet into two divisions: a Racer Division and a Cruiser-Racer Division. Also, the measurement control and inspection were very tough this year.
In Class B (small to medium sized yachts) the X-362 Sport “Don Alvaro” came 3rd.
On the first day the wind blew up to 30 knots. The other days were characterised by very light winds of 6 to 10 knots and, at the end of the IMS Championship, eight races had been sailed.
At the prize-giving ceremony, X-Yachts Italia, by tradition, assigned two special prizes to the best qualified X-Yachts: the X-Yachts Challenge Trophy went this year to X-43 “Carica” and X-Yachts Trophy to the X-362 Sport “Don Alvaro”. |
