Real Club Náutico de Palma once again organised a fantastic Copa del Rey with 110 boats from 15 nations all racing in the bay of Palma. This year was special to X-Yachts as the X-35 One Design was granted their own Class for the first time, and 14 yachts from six nations came to race.

The X-35 Class saw tough competition amongst the 14 teams of experienced racers, however, the tie between the leaders of the X-35 class was broken on the last day in favour of Mati Seep’s “Rubicón” from Estonia, which in fact led the 26 Copa del Rey Camper Audi every day. He had five victories out of twelve races and finished with a seven point advantage over second classified, which was finally the “X Connexion”. The Dutch team won the last race, while “Vela Portals 1” was not equally successful and was third overall. Fourth place went to “Vela Portals 2”.
